Production Process
Each Mountain View production is an interactive process based on a clear understanding of project objectives, budgets and schedules. Clients are invited to participate and have final approval of each phase from planning through final edits.
DISCOVERY
Our unique discovery process examines the audience, objectives, and content for each project, resulting in identification of problems, possibilities, and goals. Next, we outline our findings, recommending a communications strategy, creative concepts, media and proposed budgets.
PRE-PRODUCTION
Upon acceptance of the proposal, we begin a rigorous planning and pre-production phase. A dedicated producer/director team is assigned to each project, supported by a staff of creative and production professionals. From casting, location surveys and script development on video projects to information architecture on interactive media, the team works closely with you to resolve major issues before shooting or building begins. We believe in the liberal use of planning days to minimize expensive production days. This increases productivity and reduces cost.
PRODUCTION
Before the shooting of film or video or the building of an interactive site begins, our clients receive a pre-production blueprint with everything they need to know about suppliers, scripts, schedules, and costs. During production, we work just as closely with -- or independent from -- our clients as they like. All shooting and recording is executed under the supervision of a Mountain View producer and director, to ensure quality and production integrity. This is an exciting phase of the process, where concepts becomes reality.
REVIEW
Mountain View always provides clients with an interim version of the final deliverable, so clients can fully understand the look and feel before it's finished, and make any revisions until they are completely satisfied. Clients have access to the "Client Zone" on our website -- a collaboration tool where we all can share resources and can access files for quick review.
COPIES
Think about it: in the end, it's the copy - not the master - that the audience sees. That's why we take quality duplication and DVD replication very seriously. In fact, we have staff dedicated to this service alone; professionals who select and supervise the right duplicator for your project. It's the last step, but quality always comes first.
